Should you need to return a Coda product for service, please call first
and notify us of the problem and your intention to return the unit. Some
problems can be resolved without sending the unit for service.
As stated above, if you are located outside of the United States you should
first contact your
local Coda distributor if
one exists. Otherwise contact our US headquarters directly.
The warranty information for your product is included in the user manual. If
you no longer have the original manual a copy of the manual for any current
product can be downloaded from the product section of the website. Please be
advised that the standard Coda warranty is limited to the original purchaser
of the product. If the product has been transferred to another owner the
warranty is limited to five years from date of manufacture.
Every effort should be made to use the packing material in which the unit
was originally shipped. If the original material is no longer available or is
unusable the amplifier should be packed with plastic packing foam blocks with
sufficient density that the unit will not move within the container during
shipping. Under no circumstances should amplifiers or preamplifiers be
packed in loose material such as styrofoam "peanuts" or pellets, shredded wood
("excelsior") or other shredded or particulate packing material that may
infiltrate the chassis and create a fire hazard. Loose packing material or
insufficiently stiff foam will allow the amplifier to "settle" against the
sides of the packing container, leaving it unprotected from damage during
shipping. The shipping container should be a minimum 200lb strength
double-wall cardboard box.
In addition to proper packing, a complete description of the malfunction
should be provided with the unit along with contact information and return
address. Failure to include contact information can delay return substantially.
